Editing
Editing has opened so many new doors for me, i have had in-sight on how to cut and attach clips in chronological order and create my production. We have come up with certain issues that we can hopefully overcome, the scaling of the shots were different this is due to the carelessness of us using two different cameras. The light in the opening was in-continuous even though we took this into perspective in the beginning it obviously didn't come through. Detail is very important so we have come across certain issues with regards to the handshake being unstable, we hopefully hope to overcome this and re-film. In the section of filming when the girl opens the door and the male introduces himself we have identified as a group during editing that the young females head (me) has cut off from the shot. Even though the main focus of the shot is the hand shake it is a clear error and DSD need to come up with a resolution such as re filming and take more attention into detail of shots.
I have learnt how to use effective transitions, such as dissolve (being able to use all types such as cross dissolve and additive dissolve) I have experience in cutting up clips. Being able to restructure them to the best parts of the clip and be able to take out all of the unnecessary content. I hope to progress my knowledge and learn how to put music over my clips, such as non-diegetic music and other sounds. I am eager to find out how to create titles and use different fonts in the clips for it not to clash and flow but mainly to fit into our genre and be clearly recognised.
Thank you and stay in tune
