Name Of Film
In general the name of a film is a statement or a summary if what the content is going to be. It also gives assumptions about genre for example Scary Movie- obviously presenting a fearful film (although i must add in this case Scary Movie is more of a comical movie). DSD haven't yet thought of a name for our two minute clip. So i went ahead to ask my audience, mid teenagers 'young trendies' and older working class members, i allowed the audience to know a general story line and from there decide a appropriate heading. I took the opportunity to ask 50 individuals and construct a questionnaire- a very easy source to collect information- the data came back very interesting and these are my top 6:
You Think You Know Your Neighbours
Someone’s Watching You
Lock Your Door
Watch Your Back
Ring of Death
Unidentifiable
A very interesting but not popular name was 'Quattuorpulsat' meaning 'Four Knocks', this was Daniels idea but i did not agree because from what i understand of my target audience they will not be pleased just very confused.  In a more literal side of it, it simply will not fit on the page as one whole word and very hard to pronounce.
From this, i took the advantage to ask a further 20 people which one they preferred and the results became pretty clear.
Joint last place was 'You Think You Know Your Neighbours' and 'Lock Your Door'. Just about taking fourth place is  'Watch your back', followed by 'Someone’s Watching You' and 'Ring of Death' leaving first place....keep guessing...you thought it UNIDENTIFIABLE! Winning with over 60% likes. I think this will work well simply because the identity of the killer/protagonist is hidden. The audience will feel a sense of confusion, involvement but above all it is quickly noticeable what the genre of the clip is and that is one of the main messages i am trying to get across.
I need to look into how i can present this to the viewers taking into consideration: colour, font, movement of title etc. Keep following...:)
