Second Day Filming
On this particular day we were filming the day scene. We made sure we all met at the park near my house no later than 3:30pm as that is when it gets considerably dark. I rushed upstairs to do my hair, outfit and make-up meeting up with continuity and ran downstairs to help set up the tripod and other props. We started filming and became more fluent with time management as we understood wasting time was not going to get us nowhere, we have a certain knocking scene which we tried to use all our camera skills, filming with a over the shoulder shot but it did not quite work because spacing was small and the camera would have seen other aspects of the surrounding, breaking the 180 degree rule. I decided to do a hands free shot to make it look natural and as if the viewers are in my position, i simply healed the camera and opened the door following the camera through as if it’s my own eyes,  it tilted and looked up and down at my 'new neighbour' introducing himself. This was challenging because i simply only have two hands and can only do so many things at once. Daniel did try to become my eyes at one point but we started bumping into each other and knew this tactic will not work. Creativity is necessity and our minds will hopefully continue to flow.

Characters
Although you have seen some 'behind the scene' clips and 'in the making', id just like to clarify everyone’s roles within the group in terms of characters. We have chosen me to become the female character and the main actor because after the auditions of who we want to involve didn’t really come out as positively as we wanted it to. The female actresses where able to do the role but most just did not have the time provided to take part. We came to a rushed decision to make me the finalised female role and for me to double shift between filming and acting. Daniel is a fixed camera man and he provided some very good filming, Simon also helped with positioning of the camera when we wanted to involve a foot scene (inspired by Hot Fuzz) in our opening sequence. I provided ideas of what angles and shots we could use, due to the fact it was in the comfort of my own home i suggested snacks and food for the characters to stay on board and regular breaks were also essential, for time to be taken out of creativity. Tariq played the villain we immediately asked him if he would be available for this job as he is big and muscular looking, all key factors and stereo-types of someone intimidating. We did have auditions for our male characters but as soon as i found out he was available for the time slot and filming sessions after school, we jumped at the opportunity to bring him on board. Much thanks to him. These allocated roles will not be changed, if so i shall keep you interacted. Thanks for reading

Sneak Preview
This is a sneak preview of our construction. At this point I am laying on the ground fairly un-conscious struggling for my life. This views my struggle as i try to get up and function again. As you can see i have gone through some torment with my bruise and damage to my head. We tried to film this several times but we couldn't all stay professional throughout, so this is a small clip of we started of as a team in the film setting, to our development within our main construction. This scene had to be shot from various angles and positions, i suggested high angle shot and mid shot. Simon thought it would be good to get a minor pan of my whole body to show the extremity of damage done to my body. This occurred many times but we have realised to take it seriously and move on. This particular scene took over ten times to get perfect with no interruptions! But after much success the team and I managed to pull it off. The corrections will be made when we go onto the Mac laptops and start the editing process.
Anyhow keep updated guys and see what else is in store ;)

Pathetic Fallacy
Definition: When the weather reflects the current mood of the film/play etc. For example: When an actor is sad or angry the weather usually turns to cloudy/stormy. You will notice this in a fair amount of films, such as 'The School In the Woods'
We would like to take this idea from real media products and see if it will work within our clip. Pathetic fallacy occurs quite often in Horror movies. Although this clip is not part of our main construction i took the opportunity to film a cloudy, stormy day just to capture the 'mood' of a setting. Bad weather results to bad happenings, the rush of the leaves can be compared to the fast pace, panic of a victim even. I think pathetic fallacy is a good effect to use in our construction not only does it meet conventions of a Horror, but it also is very creative and al lot can be said about this within our evaluation.  In our one DSD would like to specifically use fog instead of rain, maybe even thunder.
Let me know what you think guys.

The Beginning of Editing
After our final day of filming took place; we decided it was time to begin our editing process. This is a screen shot of the start of the process so you can clearly track where we start from to our end piece. We are all involved with the editing process in DSD. We will all take our skills learnt within the preliminary and build up our learning process. Our group plan is to cut out all the interruptions and unnecessary filming first, then add the extra lighting, music, voice over and additional effects after. This route is simpler and should help us in the long run. Currently all the shots are mixed up and un-edited there is allot of filming that's not relevant or at a really bad quality. Personally, i am the one in charge of the camera and the memory stick, so if i lose the edited work or pre filming our group will be in trouble. To ensure that i don't loose the work permanently i have backed it up in my usb cable. Quite often i look at my edited work at home and call upon improvements that can be made; if i am having trouble with editing i can access certain websites that teach you how to use Premier Pro and YouTube.
Point being, this is the start.. Keep in touch to review progress. Thank you

Audiences opinion
Although our primary audience is teenagers, adults are also like a good horror film every now and again.   Before filming began we decided to ask a question to various people to see what responses we might get. We asked "What should the killer be wearing whilst walking up to the victims house?" and this was out response. I agreed and so did other members of the DSD gang, black is definitely the way forward with costume.
I looked into what other colours are seemingly scary and found that Red is viewed as a particularly uncomfortable colour as it is associated with blood.
In this case if our killer was to wear all red i think he would look like more of a clown then anything, we want him to fit into his surroundings not stand out. So we as a group have definitely decided with casual black garments.
Behind The Scenes
Before DSD decided to do the victims scene i decided i should look the part. I used simple eye-liner to make it seem as if i have been attacked and lip gloss across my forehead to show 'blood'. Daniel has shown you a behind the scene clip, so you can see how we set up to get rolling. Pre-preparation must be done quickly and not take up allot of time. Time management is important as we like to use most of our energy on our main production. We decided its a good idea to do this mini behind the scenes so my target audience are aware of the effort it takes to look the part. keep in tune for more insight and sneak previews  :)

This is a link off all the clever creations they have on the set of Scary Movie 2. From this i have gained inspiration to present my mini clip, i understand i cannot create the facilities provided as well as the Scary Movie one can but i have tried to do so with equipment given to me. Here is a link of the Scary Movie production, take a look at all the inspiring and clever tech they have!

Behind The scenes
This is behind a image of behind taken behind the scenes of the two main characters. I am holding in my hand a lot of objects and mis-en-scene that was used within the last climax clip. These items are tomato ketchup:used to make fake blood running on the floor. Makeup such as eyeliner around my eye to cause bruising, lipgloss on my forehead to cause bleeding-if i used ketchup it would have ben to messy and definitely stained my clothes. Tariq is my killer, this image was taken right before filming our last scene, during our break. The radio to create a static noise borrowed curtsy of Daniel. And obviously tripod to balance the positioning of the camera.  Make up took me half an hour and i do agree with peoples feedback, i definitely look bruised!

Example Of StoryBoard
Taking into account my confusion on story board structure and analytical style. I decided it would be relevant to do my research and found these two examples quite helpful. The second one clearly shows shots that would been seen through the camera, helpful to the editor and camera members. I have also learnt that if movement is begin taken place, this can be directed by the use of arrows to raise a awareness of the camera positioning and angle. To show good presentation, i shall use colour i my story board just to give it that extra touch.

First Attempt oF StoryBoarding For Main Task
storyboard visually tells the story of an animation panel by panel, kind of like a comic book. This is my first attempt for my media clip. I have shown a member of the class and a lot of improvements need to be made! Firstly, i have not explained enough with regards to content and surroundings. Although theirs not a lot of dialogue i have not managed to involve the sound either with a detail, these are vital areas of improvement. I wouldn't class myself as a drawer but i would definitely say that i need to involve more detail and show the timing in each shot to classify how long it will take. But other then that i think that i have grasped the purpose of story boarding and hope to take into consideration the skills needed such as 'attention to detail' for my future constructions.
Things iv'e learnt about story boards and conventions i should l meet:
Story boards help point out holes in your story. It helps identify time, equipment, and assistance. Attention to detail is key! I learnt and picked up on story boarding through continuous practise during the weekend.
I shall take all these thoughts and adjustments into consideration and expand on my storyboarding technique.

First Filming
On Tuesday DSD gang got together and started filming our end scene of the killer walking through the alleyway towards the victims house. Although we had allot of fun it was physically and mentally challenging, we didn't have a clear structure of everyone's roles and decided all to give out view on camera positioning and filming but also where to film and what time. We arrived at our location to early and it was still light outside so we decided to pre-prepare at a local park around the corner from my house and have a group meeting to form and construct our thoughts and opinions. It was the first time Daniel and Simon had seen the location and they were impressed with the location as they admitted it did look scary! But they also thought that the alley way was slightly to far from my house. To not bore the audience and keep them hooked we chose to use a cut, film, cut technique as the killer was walking 'casually' towards the front door. It also took allot of running around two and fro for each section of filming. Continuity had to be taken into consideration and we found ourselves being disturbed by cars parking up where we were filming, we had to at one point literally go back and film a scene again as the continuity of the all the clips would not have been flowable. It was mentally a challenge as everyone had to think spontaneously about how to position and arrange the camera so that the characters feet could be shown. It was my initial plan to involve foot steps inspired by the film Hot Fuzz but when it came to actually doing so i was confused so Simon found a top of a bottle opener and placed it underneath the camera so that we had enough view of the foot steps but also at an perfect angle, ensuring the camera stayed still. DSD came to the realization that being film crew is a demanding role and very tiring so we did take a snack break to relax and stay in from the cold. But with all of that taken into account i think it was a successful first day of filming and hope to arrive at my house on time tomorrow to do the other two scenes. With all that done and dusted editing can be looked foward to giving us a good time account of four weeks until deadline date. We are happy to be on track! YAAAAYYY

Step 4 Analysis
We had a group meeting and made our step four analysis, this time instead of taking into consideration what we want to show we thought about effects, lighting and camera angle position and movement. DSD have a clear plan of what we want to do and regardless of weather today we are going to film. I am currently half way through my story boarding and scripting and  should release it on my blogger within the upcoming days. In the beginning we want to vary our shots using typical ones but also abnormal positioning with the camera. Pan Shot to show a clear view of the victim, we would like to use a clock and rewind it back to the past, this is to help the audience understand and work out the clues meeting up with convensions of a Thriller but keeping the fright factor of a Horror! More detail is presented in our step by step sheet but within the middle of our prodcution DSD came up with a theory to use allot of zooms as this helps the audience be on her side and reveals allot of emotion. The end being in the dark alleyway makes it scary and sets the scene.

General Realisations
A media product cannot exist without and audience. The products that the creative media create are all designed for a specific audience. Targeting the right product at the right audience in the right way is an important skill that all media producers must develop if their particular product is going to survive.
As i am an A level student television time is very vital for me but only occurs during my study breaks. I am interested in ll types of television. I like my programmes to teach me something but also entertain me and trigger my emotive side. I own a Sky television box set in the comfort of my bedroom although i do sometimes tune into my parents Iranian satellite based TV downstairs in the main living room. My favourite tv shows include My Family- a comedy series drama, The Young Apprentice-involving young adults taking on business challenges, this influences me and inspires me to push my self in everything i do. And my ultimate favourite EastEnders!TV drama acting out themes and issues of London society its on every night other then weekends and Wednesday evenings involving allot of cliff hangers and narrative hooks building up my profile as a media consumer.
Classification of audiences
Some target audiences are quite broad. Olympic Games, for instance, will target a mass market. Some products are targeted at a much narrower, specialised target audience and is often referred to as a niche market.

Filming Of The Plot
This is a free hand clip that views and shows the setting of where most of the events are going to take place. By doing this clip i hope to achive showing everyone before hand how it all looks so that when we film during viewers casts etc can see the change and progress within. The kitchen as you saw is the base the young female is going to be laying unconsious or seemingly tortured. Imagine this part to be in black and white maybe i can create a clip and edit it making using black and white as i have been recently experimenting around with Premire Pro and you would like to show you what i have done so far. Back to the plot, the door is also important in the clip as this is the Establishing shot in the opening viewing, the door the killer opens to greet her victim (undercover) and also the door the suspect enters and we are wary of his distinctive tattoo as he places the key to open the hole, making the door a important factor within the clip. I thought simplicity is key as the last thing i want is to confuse the audience and for them to be mis-understood! I showed the living room as i thought it would be a interesting play with the camera to involve a mirror and this will make me progress my ability and force me to think about angle. But we came to the conclusion as a team that the mirror scene is not needed and will be too long, taking into consideration we only have 2 minute opening. If you picture all this happening in the night time i hope you can set yourself in a fright factor mood, when we start filming it will be dark to live up to convensions of most horror films.
Thanks for watching stay tuned in :)

Name Of Company
After much debate and discussion we have looked at our audiences preferences and realised that they like DSD productions the most, its a representation of all of our initials Darya, Simon and Daniel. My specific choice for this perticualr font has been inspired by 'Creepy Pasta' which is an internet trend of Horror stories. Also viewers can immedietly notice it is an horror font meaning this will be perfectly matched up to our genre and shown in our opening sequence. We looked around and tried out other fonts but it was either not living up to our horror genre or we did not agree on ones we all liked and thought was appropriate. We hope to make this title become slimy in our opening clip, for the writing to  drip down like ink and sliminess. Or maybe even make it flash on and off black then red and repeatedly for 5 seconds? i shall get on top of where i can take this.

Step Three Analysis
Allot of work has gone into our step 3 analysis and i am impressed with all the things we can achieve to gather marks through post production and effect the audiences mentality. As we have discussed a clear beginning, middle and end has to be constructed before hand before DSD can include any any flash backs and cuts to show progression and struggle and effect upon the audience. We have a clear idea of the shots we want to produce and at what time we want to do this such as Establishing mid shot of the alleyway and the man walking but at no point do we see his face. Also constant zooms and closeup's of facial expressions on the victim for them to feel sorry for her. I want the camera to be shown in a way as if we are the killer and not in a birds eye view perspective. To show that we understand the convention that the audience are meant to sympathise with her victim but that we want to confuse it a little and make it interesting with the angles dn poisoning of the camera placed in his perspective as if the audience are is the suspect weather they like it or not. The suspect looks around in each direction too and throw in a suspicious manner instantly showing the watchers that he is hiding something and he is the bad guy for them to watch out for. DSD still agree with it being placed in the dark and that nighttime is when all your fears some into place.

Unrealistic and quite cool images

Looking at how to get a reaction from the audiences I have looked into my wider research and found images that get a reaction from the audience either in a positive or negative way. This unrealistic approach to images is the same attitude i want to take wit me to me to my filming set. I want my ideas to be original and inspirational so i have chosen to show you these. What reaction do you get from looking at these photo's ?
